Public consultation: NSW DPI amended pesticide use notification plan 2020

NSW DPI is proposing changes to its pesticide use notification plan and we invite your input. Changes to the 2020 plan are required to include pesticide use by NSW DPI Cattle Tick Operations.

Public authorities, including local councils and government agencies, are required to notify the community when they use or allow the use of pesticides in public places which they own or control.

Public notification is based on the principle that people have a basic right to know when public places in areas where they live and work are treated with pesticides.

More information about pesticide use notification is available from the NSW Environmental Protection Authority.
