Acid sulfate soils

If you are interested in site specific information regarding acid sulfate soils (ASS) and
potential acid sulfate soils (PASS) contact your local Council. Councils each have a set
of the ASS / PASS risk maps and a LEP (Local Environmental Plan) which addresses
how these soils should be managed.

    The Acid Sulfate Soils Manual (1998) outlines best practice in assessing and managing the impacts of proposed works in areas likely to contain acid sulfate soils (ASS). The manual provides guidance for on-site management.
