NSW DPI has led the Cotton Water Productivity Benchmarking project since 2006. The objective has been to promote continuous improvement in cotton water productivity by establishing a benchmark that growers can compare their performance against.
Working with industry, the Benchmarking project has facilitated extension activities to keep growers up to date with best practice water use.
