Course aim:

To enthuse participants about the range and diversity of plants in the pasture, what they indicate and management implications

Learning outcomes:
  • Recognition of 15 common pasture plants
  • Increased understanding of indicator species
  • Increased understanding of management implications of diversity of species in the pasture
Length:4 hours
Course program/structure:

Course involves a mix of indoor and in paddock components including naturalised to introduced pasture. Identify pasture management issues.

Resources and method of delivery:
  • Participants are provided with a choice of 'Grasses of Coastal / Tablelands' or 'Legumes and herbs of Coastal NSW'.
  • This course is delivered mostly with outdoor instruction.
