Name:Performance management and MERI training

This workshop is designed to lift understanding of project management and to meet the Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement requirements for outcomes based projects. It will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to develop a MERI plan. This course is suited to project managers who submit and manage WAP or CFOC funded projects. Assessment tasks will be given to complete post course in own time.

Course aims:

To gain an understanding of Project management and develop a Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) plan

Learning outcomes:
  • Understanding of Performance management
  • Applying Program Logic as a project development and MERI tool
  • Developing a MERI plan for a program or project
Length:2 days
Course program/structure:

Day 1

  • Develop knowledge of Perfomance Management
  • Understanding the principles of  Monitoring, Evaluation and reporting
  • Introduction to Program Logic

Day 2

  • Using Program Logic to develop projects and MERI
  • Setting and revising outcomes
  • Developing monitoring systems
  • Strategic evaluation
  • Reflection and improvement
Resources and method of delivery:Participants are provided with a course manuals and workbooks
This course is delivered indoors. 
Accreditation: This course is mapped to the following national units of competency:
  • AHCWRK601 - Monitor projects in a program
  • AHCBUS606 - Develop a monitoring, evaluation and reporting program.
