Course aim:

To enthuse participants about the diversity of native grasses in the pasture, and explore what they indicate about the landscape, history and management implications for the future

Learning outcomes:
  • Recognition of 15 native grasses
  • Increased understanding of indicator species
  • Increased understanding of management implications of diversity of species in the pasture
Length:4 hours
Course program/structure:

Course involves a mix of indoor and in paddock components. Identify diversity and pasture management issues.

Resources and method of delivery:
  • Participants are provided with a choice of 'Grasses of Coastal or Grasses of the Tablelands'
  • This course is delivered mostly with outdoor instruction.
