Name:Weeds and their control
Description:A course developed for land managers looking to lift their capacity to effectively control weeds in a sustainable manner.
Course aims:The course aims to assist weed professionals, rural producers, those in the chemical industry and other land managers to understand and improve weed control in their field of work.  Land Managers will benefit with improved knowledge of herbicide resistance and usage of other weed control techniques.

  • Basics of weed identification & ecology
  • Knowledge of non-chemical weed management techniques as well as herbicide selection and application techniques

  • Developing plans & Monitoring programs

Participants will receive a reference booklet covering all the topics discussed and 'Control weeds in winter crops 2012'.

Accreditation:This course has been mapped to the national unit of competency, AHCPMG301 - Control weeds.
