Weed Control in Winter Crops 2004 now available

Free copies of NSW Agriculture's Weed Control in Winter Crops 2004 are now available from NSW Agriculture offices and also the web.

"Weed Control in Winter Crops in 2004 contains useful information about many aspects of herbicide use for winter crops," NSW Agriculture's Albury district agronomist, John Francis, said today.

"The book includes tables for each winter crop listing the herbicide options and application rates for a wide range of weeds.

"Other useful information contained in the Weed Control in Winter Crops 2004 booklet includes herbicide resistance management, cereal crop growth stages and timing of herbicide application.

"Sensitivity of varieties to herbicides and a compatibility chart is also included in the booklet."

Mr Francis urged farmers who use the Weed Control in Winter Crops 2004 booklet to fill in the feedback form at the back of the book.

"The feedback form gives users of the book an opportunity to comment on the value of the book and suggest improvements for future editions," he said.
