School Holiday Fun at Cumberland

Keeping the kids entertained during school holidays has never been easier than with the wide range of fun school holiday activities at Cumberland State Forest at West Pennant Hills.

“The school holiday activities are a great way to learn more about forests in a fun and interactive way,” Cumberland State Forest Manager, Mick Berry, said.

“Kids have the chance to discover and explore Australia’s only metropolitan state forest and enjoy activities ranging from puppet theatre and treasure hunts to creating insect and animal masks.

“This is a great opportunity for children to discover the forest in fun friendly environment and have a chance to become a mini forest ranger.”

After the activities families can stay on and enjoy lunch at the Cumberland State Forest café or in one of the many picnic or barbeque areas and then explore the forest on one of several walking trails.

The school holiday program runs until 23rd of January and there is a small charge of $4.40 for each activity to cover the cost of materials. Book in now so you don't miss out on the forest fun at Cumberland.
