Fish Habitat Improvement Program Plan 2014-2018
Objectives
The broad objectives of the Fish Habitat Improvement Program Plan 2014-2018 are to:
- Identify and understand habitat-fishery linkages, and the role that aquatic habitats play in promoting the productivity of the state’s exploited and threatened species
- Determine the condition of aquatic habitats and identify the processes limiting and threatening them
- Provide data to underpin appropriate and targeted protection and rehabilitation of aquatic habitat and conduct robust monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of this management
Current Projects
Current projects in the Fish Habitat Improvement Program Plan are listed below within each of the four research themes; habitat and fisheries production linkages, effective environmental flow delivery, evidence-based habitat rehabilitation, and fish-friendly infrastructure.
