The Moree Special Activation Precinct will provide a new business hub, specialising in agribusiness, logistics and food processing.
The precinct capitalises on the existing agricultural industry and its access to the inland rail and major highways.
The precinct is based on a 40-year strategic plan and was finalised on 16 March 2022.
Delivery plan
The State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts-Regional) 2021, requires a delivery plan before any development can occur within a special activation precinct.
The delivery plan sets out criteria for design, landscaping, infrastructure planning, delivery and proposal assessment.
Next steps
The delivery plan provides detail on site-specific development controls, strategies for managing environmental impact and ongoing monitoring requirements.
Applications
Applications for the new streamlined planning process should be made to the Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation.
We will issue developments that meet the requirements of the master and delivery plans with an activation precinct certificate for use with a development application or complying development.
