School Excursions and Student Engagement
The ACRI supports school education events in coordination with the DPI Education Team. For more information regarding co-ordination and planning of schools visits contact the DPI Education Team and teaching resources.
ACRI is ideal site for supporting general STEM related curriculum activities and secondary curriculum programs

Careers in agriculture
ACRI may undertake student internships and can collaborate with tertiary students on project based tasks across a broad range of fields including digital agriculture, chemistry, entomology, plant pathology and animal behaviour. The ACRI and its partner agency LLS conduct direct industry information and outreach activities at ACRI. This includes :
- North West LLS advisory and services
- DPI Research Unit Events

Career and workforce opportunities
ACRI is also commencing the DPI traineeship program known as Agricultural Pathways Program . The Program is a two-year employment opportunity with the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI).
It provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience to help kickstart a career in agriculture while also gaining a formal qualification in agriculture – from a Certificate III in Agriculture, through to a Diploma in Agriculture.
Open to interested recent school leavers through to current and recent graduates of Certificate III in Agriculture or higher, the successful applicant will have a passion for agriculture and a keen interest in research and development.
