MARRED - Marron or Redclaw

  1. The permit holder must ensure that all aquaculture production facilities used to culture Marron (Cherax tenuimanus) or Redclaw (Cherax quadricarinatus) are enclosed within a fence like structure that prevents the escape of these fish. The fence must extend at least 60cm above the surface of the ground and must extend at least 30cm beneath the surface of the ground. The fence must be constructed of a material that has a smooth surface that freshwater crayfish cannot climb (e.g. plastic sheeting or galvanised iron).
