The Commonwealth Government is implementing a Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program with a total of $20 million being provided to the States and Territories to administer grants to local councils to facilitate fishing and camping infrastructure projects. A total of $2.1 million is currently available in 2021/22 for the NSW Government to administer and distribute to councils for suitable projects.
Funding applications are now open. Applications close on 31 January 2022.
Funding is available to NSW local government councils only.
The Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program is designed to provide Australian tourists with more and improved amenities as they travel throughout NSW.
Projects seeking funding from the Program must address one or more of the following:

Projects must be underway before 30 June 2022.
There are two streams of funding available to applicants:
Applicants may apply for more than one project, however, a separate application form must be submitted for each project.
A single application form is available for both small and large grants and can be downloaded electronically below.
It is recommended applicants read the funding guidelines for more information on preparing applications before completing an application form.
