The bag limit for Southern Bluefin Tuna is 1 per person per day.
The Minister for Primary Industries proposed making an Order to authorise fishing for Southern Bluefin Tuna in accordance with daily bag and boat limits.
A Species Impact Statement assessing the impact of the activities was prepared.
The Department of Primary Industries invited written submissions on the proposed Order from 6 March to 16 April 2014.
All submissions were considered before the final Order was made.
The final Order included a bag limit of 1 Southern Bluefin Tuna and no boat limits were implemented.
