Biography

Gavin Butler is based at Grafton Fisheries Centre and first joined NSW Fisheries in 2004. He is currently employed as a Research Scientist with the department and manages a number of research projects across northern NSW.

His research has included a number of active and passive fish tagging projects, projects to monitor environmental watering outcomes, and with the results helping to drive water reforms in a number of the state’s rivers.
