John Golding

Senior Research Scientist - Market access and postharvest
Biography

John Golding works in the horticulture market access team at the Centre of Excellence for Market Access at Ourimbah, where he provides practical and cost-effective solutions for the NSW and Australian horticultural industries. John’s professional passions are in postharvest management of product quality, including market access research. His current work involves developing and applying innovative market access and postharvest research in a range of important horticulture crops such as citrus, blueberries and cherries. John works closely with industry to ensure the outcomes of his research are practical and economic.

John also has a conjoint appointment with the University of Newcastle, where he co-supervises postgraduate students in horticulture, food science and technology. His recent achievements include the successful completion of important industry projects funded by Horticulture Australia Ltd, co-authoring numerous international refereed research papers and several books and book chapters. He presents his research findings at national industry conferences and at international technical horticultural science conferences.
