Forestry Corporation Christmas tree to delight preschoolers

Forestry Corporation has once again generously donated and delivered a locally grown Christmas tree to the Bathurst Library.

Pre-schoolers from Bathurst Library Story Time will be able to delight in decorating the Christmas tree, which will create a festive atmosphere in the library.

The Christmas tree from Vulcan State Forest will be on display at the library from today (Wednesday 1 December) to Monday 3 January.

Forestry Corporation forester Bob Aspden said it was a great opportunity for the organisation to participate in local events and activities for young people in the lead up to Christmas.

“This is the third year that Forestry Corporation have delivered and donated a Christmas tree to the Library,” Ms Aniko Koro, Outreach Program officer from the Bathurst Regional Council Library, said.

“We are thrilled at the response, which has been consistent from our local foresters.

“The Christmas tree will be located in the centre of the Library and will enhance the festive spirit. We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with the Bathurst community.

“Bathurst Library would like to thank Forestry Corporation operations foreman Brian Boyd and Bob Aspden for delivering the Christmas tree.”
