Industry and workforce support

Industry Support

DPI and its partner agency, LLS conduct direct industry information and outreach activities at WPII.

This includes:

  • LLS North Coast  events and activities
  • Farms of the Future producer education program which provides advisory and grants to ag tech on farms. Learn more about the program and resources here and watch the video below

    Career and workforce opportunities

    WPII is part of the Agricultural Pathways trainee program which is a two-year employment opportunity with DPI.

    It provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience to help kickstart a career in agriculture while also gaining a formal qualification in agriculture – from a Certificate III in Agriculture, through to a Diploma in Agriculture.

    Open to interested recent school leavers through to current and recent graduates of Certificate III in Agriculture or higher, the successful applicant will have a passion for agriculture and a keen interest in research and development.
