Clare Belfield

Clare Belfield has worked in a range of agricultural industries, both on and off farm. She now works as an Agtech Specialist Officer with the NSW DPIRD Farms of the Future Program, based in Orange NSW. She brings her high energy and solution focused expertise to the field of Agtech adoption through training, extension and demonstration.
Clare is proud to say that her work has always been in agriculture. Formative years drafting sheep, mustering cattle, and harvesting through the night, set the course of her career. Since completing her Ag studies at Marcus Oldham College, she has worked across 3 states in a range of fields including broadacre and mixed livestock farming, farm policy, business advisory, and agribusiness banking.
Over 25 years, she has worked with hundreds of farmers and understands how taking the time to understand a farm operation, guide problem solving and to present solutions that deliver results not only for the business, but the people within the business is critical.
As an Agtech Specialist, Clare embraces the opportunity to support and guide farmers through their specific Agtech journey, fostering confidence through knowledge and understanding. This translates to a farm business adopting well planned and considered Agtech and connectivity solutions that solve the priority challenges in the business. The result being an improvement in farmers’ lives, better decision making with supporting data, reduced risk and efficient resource use.
Clare is passionate about the opportunities available to Australian agriculture and is dedicated to working with regional communities to see them realised.
