Hamish Dickson

Hamish Dickson is an experienced agricultural professional and now leads the Education workstream of the Farms of the Future program, based in Orange NSW.
There are so many opportunities for business growth in Agriculture, from management changes, systems development and especially Agtech; however without time and expertise it can be hard to implement the best strategy.
Through spending some time with you to understand your situation, we can breakdown the complexity of Agtech and find the right solution.
Growing up on a farm in Central West NSW gave me a passion for farming, but I wasn't able to circle back to getting my hands dirty for nearly 20 years! After school, I went off to study the science of farming at Sydney University before making a career in agricultural consulting and agtech development. More recently I have joined the Farms of the Future team and get back to helping on our family farm. All this means that I get farming, I have spent countless hours on diverse farms across Australia to see what has been working for different people and why.
I understand what running a business means and there are always competing priorities for your time and investment. My passion is cutting through the noise and setting a strong plan for success, whether that it for an individual farm or running broader industry programs. Please reach out if you would like to talk.
