Kirsty Piontek

Kirsty combines her passion for Agriculture and Education to develop innovative and engaging learning pathways for the Farms of the Future Program.
Growing up on a property in North West NSW, I was drawn to a career in Agriculture. After 10 years working in rural industry, I spent the following 5 years in the school system, educating the next generation of farmers in the fundamentals of agriculture.
In the last three years with DPI I’ve focused specifically on developing programs that assist farmers in adopting Agtech, aiming to make technology more relatable, practical, and beneficial to their businesses. My goal is to design learning experiences that build confidence and equip farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully integrate Agtech into their daily operations.
I’ve had the opportunity to see how a little confidence in selecting the right technology can transform a farming operation and it’s been exciting to help farmers embrace these innovations. By providing knowledge and support I hope to empower farmers to make decisions that will benefit them and their business.
