Gary has worked in the fields of NRM, agriculture/horticulture, planning and the environment at all levels of government, NGOs and the private sector for almost four decades. Since the mid-1990s, his work has focussed on climate applications to biophysical systems and science-based development of policy and programs. He has collaborated with many leading researchers in his various roles with BoM, MDBC, DECCW, NSW DPI, Greening Australia and 3 NSW Councils. He returned to NSW DPI in 2019 to lead the stakeholder engagement component of the Vulnerability Assessment project.
