The TARC supports school education events in coordination with the DPI Education Team and teaching resources.

TARC is ideal site for supporting general STEM related curriculum activities and secondary curriculum programs.

TARC  may undertake student internships and can collaborate with tertiary students on project based tasks across a broad range of fields including digital agriculture, chemistry,entomology, plant pathology and animal behaviour. Industry Support

The TARC hosts direct industry information and outreach activities on site . This includes supporting fellow agency events such as:

  • Central West LLS advisory and services activities;
  • DPI programs such as the Farm Business Resilience Program; and,
  • DPI supported producer training for courses such as Chemical Handling   

    Career and workforce opportuntities

    TARC is  commencing the DPI traineeship program known as Agricultural  Pathways Program . The Program is a two-year employment opportunity with the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI).

    It provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience to help kickstart a career in agriculture while also gaining a formal qualification in agriculture – from a Certificate III in Agriculture, through to a Diploma in Agriculture.

    Open to interested recent school leavers through to current and recent graduates of Certificate III in Agriculture or higher, the successful applicant will have a passion for agriculture and a keen interest in research and development.
