Council managed estuarine infrastructure

Council Managed Estuarine InfrastructureForeshore structures owned and managed by local councils such as jetties, pontoons and mangrove boardwalks are key assets used by many in the community when enjoying estuaries. Some of these structures and their attendant infrastructure have been damaged by the impact of floods. Some councils are constrained with limited resources or opportunity to modify or rebuild infrastructure with improved environmental outcomes, and resilience to future floods. In some areas council assets were damaged by private structures including jetties and pontoons that came adrift during flooding.
