Important

If you are moving organic mulch, compost, growing media, manure, soil, hay, straw, chaff, silage, potted plants, turf, agricultural equipment, earth moving equipment, sand, gravel, chitters, coal fines, coal stone, overburden and decomposed granite from the parts of Queensland shown in pink on this map, you must comply with the current Emergency Order.


The map shows the fire ant infested area of South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Note: The fire ant infested area is based on the Fire Ant Biosecurity Zone map published by the Queensland Government but modified for the purposes of this order. Previous iterations of this order have used the Interstate Plant Quarantine Zone map published by the Queensland Government. A copy of the Map as defined is included in the Schedule for information purposes only and can be found on the DPI website at: https://dpi.nsw.gov.au/biosecurity/insect-pest/fire-ants
