These three strategies are aquaculture industry development plans for the purposes of section 143 of the Fisheries Management Act 1994
These strategies set the policy framework for aquaculture development and management in NSW. The strategies provide best practice guidelines for ecological sustainable development, establish criteria for developing aquaculture sites that meet legislative requirements and provide operational guidance for setting up aquaculture businesses. All aquaculture businesses, existing and new entrants, are encouraged to read these strategies.
