Climate

Griffith has a Mediterranean-type climate with a slight dominance of rainfall from April to October. Rainfall from late spring to early autumn is largely ineffective due to the high evaporation over the summer months. Frosts may occur from the end of March until the end of October, but are usually confined to May through to September.
