...more about Griffith Centre for Irrigated Agriculture

The evolution from the Viticulture Nursery of 1916 to today’s Griffith Centre for Irrigated Agriculture has recognised the changing needs of clients in the area it services. This development has maintained the continuing aims of NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) to support and ensure improvements in the efficiency of production and the marketing of quality produce using ecologically sustainable agricultural practices. This particularly applies to irrigated farming.

Locally based staff include officers with advisory, technical, regulatory, administrative and clerical functions. Administrative supervision and resource management is carried out by an on-site manager who is also responsible for the management of NSW DPI's Heritage Sites.
