During an emergency

Everyone can contribute to lessening the impact of emergencies on your animals and plants, your businesses, the environment and the economy. Taking action early and keeping informed can keep you, your animals and your family safe and return things to normal sooner.

  1. Activate your plan
  2. Keep listening for updates
  3. Keep in contact with your community
  4. Follow instructions from emergency services/biosecurity agencies

During a natural disaster:

  • Act early
  • Relocate animals and assets to a safer place on/off property
  • If you are required to evacuate, take your animals with you
  • Never drive, ride or walk through flood waters or active fire zone
  • Report wildlife injuries
