Amberjack
Characteristics
Best separated from the Samsonfish by its more torpedo shaped body and lower head profile.
Size
May attain a maximum size of approximately 190 cm.
Distribution
A more tropical species that is often found in coastal NSW, usually with the warmer, summer waters.
Confusing species
Similar to Kingfish and may often be confused with Samsonfish.
