An important part of the NSW Government’s Metropolitan Water Plan are works designed to improve the health of the Shoalhaven River.
The works will include changes to allow for new environmental flow releases from the dam, as well as the construction of fish passage to allow the up and down stream movement of native fish.
The works will be finished in 2009 and will see Tallowa Dam become the first dam in NSW to have both fish passage and variable environmental flows.
