Education

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is providing a platform for government, the agricultural sector, and broader community to learn and share their experiences in agricultural land use planning. A blended program of online modules, webinars, workshops, and resources are on offer.

Expressions of interest are currently being taken for specialised online training in risk management in the context of land use conflict. Land use conflict can have a significant impact on agricultural industries, communities and individuals. Understanding how to identify, analyse and manage these risks supports the decision-making process.

The land use conflict risk management training is accredited and aligns to a nationally recognised competency unit in Risk Management within the Diploma of Government.

Further training will be available on strategic planning for agriculture, policy, and intensive agriculture in the future.
