Moving goats into and within NSW
Summary
There are animal welfare requirements for the transport and keeping of goats in NSW
- goats entering and moving within NSW must have an approved NLIS tag
- goats entering and moving within NSW must be accompanied by fully completed documentation, either a national vendor declaration (NVD) or a transported stock statement (TSS)
- goat movements must be notified to the NLIS database
- there are strict footrot requirements for goats entering NSW
- goats infested with Sheep Lice cannot be moved in public places unless they are going to slaughter
- there are strict cattle tick requirements for goats entering NSW from cattle tick infested areas
- there are strict plant import requirements for fodder accompanying goats entering NSW
