Ahead of the NSW state election on 25 March 2023, the NSW Government caretaker period has commenced. Limited updates will be made to this website during this period.
In April 2014, the Minister for Primary Industries proposed making an Order to authorise fishing for Murray Crayfish in accordance with daily bag and size limits, location and seasonal closures.
A Species Impact Statement assessing the impact of the activities was prepared.
The Department of Primary Industries invited written submissions on the proposed Order from 2 April to 2 May 2014.
All submissions were considered before the final Order was made.
The final Order permits fishing for Murray Crayfish in accordance with controls under the Fisheries Management Act 1994
