Understanding the Biosecurity Act - training

Training is key to the implementation of the new Biosecurity Act 2015; particularly for authorised officers who are responsible for compliance and administering various sections of the Act.

A comprehensive training program has been developed to provide authorised officers with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to perform their functions under the Biosecurity Act 2015. It is compulsory for all authorised officers under the Act to successfully complete the online course. There will be further training and advisory material available for the general community at a later date.

The online learning component of the Biosecurity Act 2015 training for authorised officers comprising of 10 modules is now available.

The training is also available for any interested government staff that will be involved in administration of the Act.

You can access the training via the NSW DPI EMtrain platform.
