Description |
Leaf: medium size, slightly upfolded and curling back, brownish faintly tomentose petiole. Shape: oval with attenuate tip and truncate base. Margin: sawtooth serrations. Stipules: thin, narrow, elliptical, inconspicuous. Shoot: bark grey brown, slightly tomentose, some overgrowth just at ground level. | |
Vigour | Dwarfing, slightly larger than M.9; between M.9 and M.26. | |
Propagation | Does well in stool beds like MM.106 or in meristem culture. Does fairly well from cuttings like M.7. | |
Resistance | Collar rot resistant. Susceptible to woolly aphid. | |
Uses | Productive and precocious, does not sucker. Not fully tested in Australia. Recent overseas research indicates that the stock has anchorage and compatibility problems, and an unidentified ‘burr knot’ like symptom at ground level of the root system. | |
