Tweed Offshore Artificial Reef

Location: 7.5 km south-east of the Tweed Heads river entrance and approximately 2.5 km off the coast of Wommin Bay.
Depth: 25 metres
Deployment: October 2020
Coordinates: The Steel Fish Grotto centre piece is located at -28° 13.428' S, 153° 35.473' E
Reef type: Steel Fish Grotto (10 m high, 14 m diameter) surrounded by 32 concrete Arrowhead modules arranged in 8 clusters of 4 concrete modules.
Reef area: 7 hectares
Species:

Anticipated fish species: Spanish and Spotted Mackerel, Cobia, Yellowtail Kingfish, Amberjack, Samsonfish, Mulloway, Pearl Perch, Snapper and various bait species
