National outlook – October to December

The official national outlook was released by the Bureau of Meteorology on 5 September 2024.

• The rainfall outlook for October to December is likely to be above median for large parts of eastern Australia (60% to 80%). Across western Australia, rainfall is likely to be near median.
• Maximum and minimum temperatures for October to December have an increased chance (60% to greater than 80%) of being higher than average for most of Australia when compared to the historical record (1981 – 2018).
