Plant Growth Index (PGI)
Plant Growth Index values continue to improve across much of NSW.
- This indicates that the rainfall and temperature patterns, as well as the availability of stored soil moisture, have been highly effective for pasture and crop production.
- Parts of eastern Riverina and Murray LLS continue to have low PGI values.
- PGI values are declining in the southwest of NSW.
- DPIRD is monitoring these areas closely.
