National outlook – October to December

The official national outlook was released by the Bureau of Meteorology on 3 October 2024.

• The rainfall outlook for October to December is likely to be near median for large parts of eastern Australia. Across western Australia, rainfall is likely to be above median (60 to 80% chance).
• Maximum and minimum temperatures for October to December have an increased chance (60% to greater than 80%) of being higher than average for most of Australia when compared to the historical record (1981 – 2018).
