Unstable weather systems during early to mid January generated isolated severe thunderstorms causing heavy rain, flash flooding, strong winds, hail, and property damage across parts of NSW. This includes coastal regions in the Hunter LLS region, western NSW (including the Riverina), Greater Sydney, Central Tablelands and North Coast.
No frost events experienced during January.
