Rainfall Totals

Rainfall was highly variable during February

  • There were lower rainfall totals in the west (below 10mm), to above 100mm for parts of the Central Tablelands, South East and North Coast LLS regions.

Rainfall Percentiles

Rainfall deficits were observed across parts of western and eastern NSW during February 2025, when compared to the 1980-2020 baseline record.

Calendar year to date rainfall percentiles vary across NSW.

  • Higher than normal rainfall has been observed in many coastal regions, and parts of central NSW. This was driven by the widespread storms experienced across NSW since the start of the year.
  • Rainfall deficits are present for large parts of western NSW.
