National outlook – March to May 2025

- The rainfall outlook for March to May is likely to be near median for most of Australia, when compared to the historical record (1981 – 2018). Below median rainfall is likely for parts of northern, eastern and central Australia, while above median rainfall is likely for northwestern Australia. Outlooks based on the Bureau of Meteorology numerical model have moderate to high (45% to above 75%) accuracy for the forecast period.
- Maximum temperatures for March to May are likely to be above median across most of Australia. Minimum temperatures are likely to be above median across Australia.
